Mini Wars May 2026 Live Build Recap — Bunker Lands and Industrial Depth Returns
The Industrial Depth & Stability Pass shipped a hardened Bunker, surfaced the Steel Mill chain, and tightened Storage Center radius logic. Here is what changed and what to do about it this week.
The May 2026 Live Build refresh dropped quietly mid-week and the meta has been digesting it ever since. The headline is that defense finally has a real mid-tier option — the Bunker — and the Steel Mill chain has been surfaced as the explicit gate between civilian industry and military buildings. If you played in April and have come back this week, your build order has changed in two specific places.
§What actually changed
- Bunker added to the defensive build menu — a hardened mid-tier garrison structure that absorbs significantly more damage than a Border Tower.
- Steel Mill is now the explicit gating material producer for Tank Base, Air Base, and Missile Launcher.
- Storage Center auto-collect radius and consistency tightened across cluster sizes.
- Workshop builder allocation re-balances correctly when buildings are sold mid-build.
- Free Oil Rig reward live for accounts joining the official Roblox group.
§What to change in your opening
The biggest practical shift is the Bunker. If you were running Turtle Defense on a single Border Tower spine, you can now drop a Bunker at your chokepoint, garrison it from the Barracks, and pair it with a Soldier Statue inside the aura. That is a strictly better defensive package for roughly the same slot cost. The full updated playbook is in the Turtle Defense Guide.
On the offensive side, the Steel Mill change means your military pivot is now two buildings, not one. If you are running the Air Rush Conquest Playbook, bake a Steel Mill into your Phase 2 — your first Air Base will not finish without it. Expect a 60-90 second delay on first invasion timing across the lobby until everyone adjusts.
Tier list update: Bunker debuts at A, Steel Mill rises from C to B (now mandatory rather than optional), Barracks holds at A. See the live ranking on the Tier List.
§Stability — the under-reported win
The patch notes buried the most important change for serious players: peak-hour server stability. Late-game lobbies past minute 30 used to micro-stutter during invasions; the May build smoothed that out noticeably. If you have been losing rounds because your screen froze during a counter-invasion, that should stop.
For the full structured changelog, see the Patch Notes. For where every building sits after this update, the Mini Wars Tier List is updated weekly.
